STELLA CADENTE introduces: Blood Orange OilStella Cadente Olive Oil Company based in Anderson Valley, Mendocino County have now introduced their blood orange oil. The oil is highly fragrant without any bitterness and is wonderful with beets, salads, duck dishes and orange/ginger cake. "We will be selling our new blood orange oil over the website and at our popular tasting room in Boonville. Customers can now sample 4 great olive oils – meyer lemon, l’autunno, everyday, and blood orange and purchase in bulk" said Tom Hunter, co-owner of Stella Cadente. Stella Cadente gained attention last year when an international panel of experts judged nearly 200 entries for the Oils of the World Competition at the Los Angeles County Fair in mid-May 2003. Their L’Autunno Blend Extra Virgin Olive Oil won "Best of Show", adding to their already impressive total of 13 accolades. Their oils have also been featured on the Food Network and PBS Wine Roads. Stella Cadente also has a self-service tasting bar within Brutocao Cellar’s tasting room in Hopland, where customers can taste meyer lemon, everyday and L’Autunno Blend and help themselves to bulk purchases. Stella Cadente is a small artisan producer in Anderson Valley, Northern California with about 1000 gallons of production each year. Their Italian and Mission olives are organically grown and hand-picked the old fashioned way and they blend their oil to bring out the unique flavors of these five different varieties of olives.
